In the last few years, we have also developed an interest in painting on paper, driven by Tom’s experimenting with stencilling and underpainting. This gives a new texture and discipline to the work.

This can drive us mad but also gives a lovely freshness and immediacy to the paper paintings. They continue our still life themes, using stencilling and layers of colour underneath to create a multi-layer original painting.

Primarily acrylic, we also use oil bar and charcoal to get the finished image. All paper work comes mounted and framed in white and ready to hang. It is titled, dated and signed by both artists on the reverse.
